Joy Buolamwini

Joy is a recent graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Computer Science. She is a Google Anita Borg Scholar and avid attendee at Grace Hopper. Joy has a long list of awards and accomplishment at the tender age of 24. Along with 3 other Georgia Tech Black Women, she is co-founder of TechTurized. She is 2013 Rhode Scholar as well a recipient of 2012-2013 Fulbright Fellowship and is using her grant to improve access to education in Zambia through her organization, Zamrize. Joy is a 2012 Georgia Tech’s Flashpoint Start-up Accelerator. Joy is in Zambia through September 2013, spends 2 weeks in the U.S. and off to Oxford University to start her Master’s program in Computer Science in October 2013.
